Cranes
Me and my girl at Cranes Beach. We each had a long day at work so we decided to escape from our usual places and relax a bit. We headed toward Ipswich with the hopes of wandering around the Cranes Castle Estate. However, it was too close to sunset and the estate was closed. On the bright side, the beach (a few hundred feet farther down the road) was open and we didn't even have to pay the entry fee (I forget the exact amount, but it was way too much per car) since it was a short 45 minutes until sunset. We sat and watched the sunset over the calm, picturesque ocean from the lifeguard chair. With 10 minutes until sunset, when the beach would close and a beach ranger would be out on an RV rounding the remaining beachers, we spontaneously shed our clothes and sprinted toward the ocean. Skinny dipping on a public beach in broad daylight. That's what I call "livin' in the now". Summary: The sand is soft and the sea gulls are gross. Great spot.
